I decided on a composition in Photoshop, from 3 different photos from a trip to the Coromandel.
The Pohutukawa tree would have to be my favourite tree, very much the 'Christmas Tree' icon of New Zealand!
Tuis are very iconic birds only found in New Zealand. They are one of the best songbirds in the world with a highly developed vocals, they can produce a complex, varied mix of melodic notes, flutes, bell-like chimes, clicks, croaks, and wheezes. They are also brilliant mimics, capable of imitating other bird calls and even human speech or mechanical sounds like cell phones.
