Welcome to the online gallery of Wildlife, Portrait & Pet Portrait Artist Kaz Rankin.

Based in New Zealand, her passion for wildlife and nature shines through in her artwork, producing highly detailed wildlife studies in very different mediums, Scratchboard and Pastel, and Oils. Combining her artwork with a love of photography, she enjoys visiting predator-free islands and bird sanctuaries and often spends many hours with her camera capturing New Zealand’s precious native birds. 

Portraiture (people and pets) are also passions in her artwork. Kaz is currently taking commissions for 2026.

A love of capturing the essence of a much loved pet or wildlife animal brings a lot of satisfaction as a joint collaboration.
